OLD BUSINESS:

In the past, there were discussions involving the ability of the Treasurer to issue an Association check with only one name affixed to authorize payment.  There were questions as to bylaws, protocols and common practice being asked and research was done regarding this act.  It was determined that this change would neither contravene nor violate any Association Bylaw.  It would simply free up the Treasurer from driving all over the county to locate a second person authorized to sign the check with him for a few hundred dollars to pay a financial obligation owed by the Association.  Without further discussions…There was a motion called for to authorize the Treasurer to sign and thereby authorize any check drawn on the Association up to $500.00 in value.  1st by Mr. A. Way.  2nd by Mr. D. Nesbitt.  The motion carried with no further discussion by voice acclimation.  There was no dissent noted.

There was a motion made to pay the current financial obligations of the Association.  Mr. W. Nichols read the list of obligations to be paid.  There was a motion called for to pay the financial obligations of the Association.  1st by Mr. R. Diehl.  2nd by Mr. A. Way.  The motion carried by voice acclimation from the floor.  There was no dissent noted.

Gordie Burris had cataract surgery today. He’s reported to be doing fine.

GOOD OF THE ORGANIZATION:

There was a brief overview of the Recruit New York project and the press conference held today at the Training Center.  Several MCVFA (Inc.) Officers were in attendance.

With no additional business brought to the floor there was a motion called for to adjourn the Directors Workshop Meeting.  1st by Mr. R. Diehl.  2nd by Mr. A. Way.  The motion carried by voice acclimation.

Time………..8:10 PM
