The scheduled Christmas Party and Board Meeting of the Monroe County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, Inc., being held at the Barnard Firemen’s Exempt Club, was called to order by the Association President, Mr. Lawrence A. Ritz at the appointed time…….6:30 PM after a social hour resplendent with well made adult beverages.
The dinner was a wonderful dinner buffet served by the Barnard Exempts Staff. On behalf of the Association…….the Secretary thanks Mr. William Nichols for coordinating the festivities and Mr. Richard Gardner of the Barnard Exempts Club for his gracious hospitality.
The Association President, Mr. Lawrence A. Ritz introduced the invited guests from the podium. The guests responded with Merry Christmas to all present on behalf of their respective organizations.
With the taking of the roll call, it was determined that a quorum did not exist to conduct any Association business.
The Treasurer’s report was waived at this meeting due to the fact there was no need to read the report, as no action could be taken on it one way or the other and the Association bills due for payment could not be authorized at this time due to the lack of a quorum.
Committee Reports were suspended at this time due to the fact there was no quorum present to take any action on the reports.
There was a motion made by the Secretary to suspend the business meeting and return to “Having a great time”. This motion was accepted by voice acclimation.
There was a motion made then by several members to adjourn the meeting. This was done by acclimation. Time, 8:15 PM
