February 27, 2007 Convention Committee Meeting

    Chairman Don Fox called meeting of the 2008 FASNY Convention Committee on February 27, 2007 to order at 7:35. Present were Mae Bauer, Bill Nichols, Larry Ritz, Bonnie Sweet, David Sweet, Don Fox, Karen Riordan and Alan Way.

    Don turned the meeting over to Bill Nichols Chairman of the May 5th combined dinner for some discussion on the plans.

    Don took back the meeting when discussion on the dinner was completed.

    It was decided that FASNY will purchase the ribbons for the convention, which should include the ladies.

    There was a discussion on whether the President of LAFASNY would be coming in to inspect the hotel that will be used by the ladies. It was decided that she would not come in.

    To date we have been asked to have three Board Meeting rooms available, Vendor set up times and have space set up for three forums per day.

    The next FASNY Convention Committee meeting will be held on April 27 & 28 in Buffalo. If you have any questions or concerns please get them to David Sweet.

    Fund Raisers were discussed. It was decided to hold a raffle to be started as soon as possible. It was also decided to not do any pins or banks this time.

    A raffle idea was to raffle off a digital camera. The committee was also going to check on specialty wine bottles as a give away idea.

    The Hospitality room will be 304.

    The next meeting will be April 10th in Barnard at 7:30 PM.
