Agency of the Year - Congrats to the South East Quadrant and all of it's members for being recognized as the 2008 MLREMS Council EMS Agency of the Year. This Third Battalion agency, providing continuous service since February 4, 1975 continues to grow to accommodate the EMS needs of the communities that it serves.
Joanna Award - This years recipients are all the agencies involved in the November 2007 Happy Ice Elevator Rescue. This Teamwork Awards recognizes the efforts of the Agencies involved in cooperating to help provide Quality Care.
Highland Hosp EMS Crew Celebration, ED Tour and Seminar - Please plan to join the staff at Highland Hospital as they proudly display their new facility from 1800 to 1900 hours, during which time a catered dinner from Dinosaur Barbeque will be provided. At 1900 hour, a seminar on ACS and Tachycardia (CMS credits provided) will be offered. To allow for planning for these events, please call Highland Dept of Education at 341-6709 by April 22nd to reserve your spot.
National Telecommunicator Week - Starting April 13th, we honor all the employees involved in the Emergency Services Dispatch system, from the Telecommunicators that take the citizens calls to the Dispatchers who notify you of the calls for help. A Special Thank You to everyone involved in this vital first step in the process to help the community, whetter it be a EMS, Fire or Police emergency.
This past week the City of Rochester released a survey done of a group of City Residents and their score card for the Monroe County 911 Center was - 43% surveyed had used the 911 services in the past year with 31% calling for a Life Threatening emergency. 65% gave the service a A, 17% gave it a B, providing a mean score of 82% of the survey group rating the services they received as Best to Excellent.
Suki Regoni Golf Tournament - The 14th annual tournament to honor a respected EMS Educator and Provider will be held on May 22, 2008 at the Conesus Golf Club. The proceeds of this event help to support Paramedic education. Please find attached the information and registration package for this event
AMERICORPS - This program is designed to provide personal to non-profit Emergency Service agencies to help with staffing, recruitment and retention issues and to help your agency grow. This program cost very little to agencies, but offers many areas of benefits. Please visit www.trcme,com/erc or contact Joel Kather at jkather@canandaiguaes.org , who currently is one a one (1) year contract working with the Canandaigua Emergency Squad to hear about this valuable program
STEP - Thank you to the committee and everyone that made the 14th annual STEP Conference a success this year. The presentations, banquet and social interaction make this a event that equals many of the larger out of town EMS Conferences. Please look for a date soon to plan for next years event. Also your help is also welcome to help make STEP a success and you could become a STEP Child under Doctor Kluge or President Sandy Beers.
Jump into Spring. With warm weather, comes bikes and little tykes, watch out for both!!!!!
