EMS Update
8 Jun 2008

EPCR QA Committee: All agencies in the Third Battalion are in various stages of implementation of the Electronic PCR project and many agencies are now developing QA protocols to compliment these systems.  The 3rd Battalion is going to host a Users group to discuss Common Issues.  This group WILL NOT discuss any specific patient chart, rather the dynamics used to insure the quality of the patient care and patient record.

The first meeting will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 1900 hours at a location to be determined.  All agencies are asked to have your QA people, along with your technical experts on EPCR at this meeting to share ideas.

Communications: Please ALWAYS have a Portable radio on you at all time when you are on a call, for both your own safety, as well as the care of the patient

Hydrate: The HOT weather has started early this year and the most important thing that you can do is keep yourself healthy and safe.  Remember to hydrate with beverages that will help keep your body in balance and you in the best possible shape to do the things you enjoy

Rochester Rhino's HERO night: The Rochester Rhinos would like to honor the Hero's of Emergency Service and the Military at their game on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2000.  They are offering agencies the opportunity to purchase group sales tickets at a $8.00 per ticket price, which is a $4.00 per unit saving off normal general admission.  Please find attached a information poster on the event and contact information to have your agency participate

Masimo Group Discount purchase: Agencies interested in purchasing additional units or agencies outside the grant, that would like to be included in this discounted price should contact Charlie Adams of Boundtree as soon as possible.
