Welcome - A Special Welcome to all the new EMS and Fire Officers of the Third Battalion and thruout Emergency Services.  We look forward to working with you and your Department, as the agencies of the Battalion work together at both Emergency Scenes and combining our resources to help make everyone a part of this great team.

Thank You - Thanks to all the Officers who served and guided your organizations in 2007.  We appreciate your time and efforts and look forward to you being a active part of the organization for years to come.

NIMS 300 - The Rush Fire Department/Ambulance will be sponsoring the 1st NIMS 300 class of 2008, starting on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.  This course is highly recommended for ALL DO's and Chief Officers of Emergency Service agencies, with priority given to those required to complete this class.   Please contact Jason France at Monroe County Fire Bureau (753-3752)  to signup for this valuable class on agency interaction.

This procedure is the same as the current process with Rochester General and Unity Hospitals.  Please remember to contact these three (3) facilities to allow them to be aware of your status, prepare for your patient and allow for quicker triage and transfer of care to the hospital, upon your arrival.

Radio Procedures - All agencies are reminded to insure that everyone is aware of how to contact all the hospital via the 340 or mobile phones, to insure proper information transfer.  Please check all your radios which can alert the hospitals to insure they are working, as well as all your members are aware of the operation process.

All requests for interagency/intercounty assistance should be handled by the EDC/911 Dispatcher to insure the proper notification of the proper agency, reduce any potential for problems/delays and most importantly to allow for accurate documentation of requests and mutual aid to a incident.
