Seatbelts - The National Safety Council reports that over 226,567 lives were saved from 1975 to 2006 by USING SEATBELTS. Please buckle up on all Emergency vehicles and in your personal vehicles to remain safe.
Tip of the Antler - This past week, the Webster-Fairport Elks hosted their 38th annual Police-Fire-Ambulance Recognition Dinner to honor many deserving members of local Emergency Services. This Benevolent Organization supports hospitalized Veterans, Youth Recreational And Leadership activities, Children with Cerebral Palsy, as well as their support of Emergency Services. Congrats to all the Award Recipients and to the Elk's for their support.
Nice Job - On Sunday afternoon, February 10, many of the counties Emergency Services responded to or mobilized to support a serious MVA on Route 390 near Scottsville Road. This multi-car MVA was a testament to the training and preparation that have gone into allowing all Emergency Responders and Agencies to be prepared for incidents of this magnitude. A review of this incident is planned to allow for information and lesson learned to be shared.
Third Battalion Training Officers meeting - The first 2008 meeting will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 1900 hours, in conjunction with a training event that Perinton Ambulance has planned. The training meeting will follow at approx. 1930 hours to discuss the 2008 EMS training plans, schedules and events.
Finger Lakes Regional EMS Conference - The Finger Lakes Regional EMS Council is sponsoring there yearly EMS Education/Vendor conference on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Finger Lakes Community College. A preconfrence EMS educational day will be hosted also on Friday, February 22nd at the Geneva Extension facility. Please see the attachment for details.
Winter Weather - As the saying goes, if your don't like the weather in Rochester, wait a hour and it will change. While we can have changeable weather, please dress to the conditions that are occurring now and also for the next hours. Your Safety and Well-being while providing service to the community is the first priority.
