Golf and EMS - The Rochester area is very fortunate this summer season to host two (2) acclaimed Golfing events and to insure the safety of the golfers and fans, we need your EMS help.
The first event will be the Senior PGA Championship, hosted at the Oak Hill Country Club from Monday, May 19th thru Sunday May 25, 2008. This event is expected to draw a average of 18,000 people to the course per day and their safety is our concern. If you would like to assist in the EMS coverage, ranging from Cart Crews, Walkers, Rig Assignments or Medical Base staffing, please e-mail pgaema@gmail.com for your availability and to make arrangements to help.
The second yearly event that is hosted here is the Rochester Ladies PGA held at Locust Hill from June 16 thru June 22, 2008. A meeting for all EMS personal is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 1900 at the Club to help make everyone aware of this exciting activity. Please signup for this event at lpgaems@gmail.com .
Steve Leuchtner (737-3191) is coordinating the EMS resources for both the above events and looks forward to having EMS personal of all levels, from all agencies, assisting in making both these events safe and enjoyable for everyone involved
You Input is Needed - Emergency Service performs the vital functions needed by our Communities when the need arises for our services. Emergency Services modifies this procedures based on changing needs in both the community and the service(s) to best insure that the service we provide is appropriate, adequate and functional at the time it is provided. These changes can't and do not occur without your input. Currently the OPC is asking for input on REHAB and HAZ MAT policies. Previously they have solicited input on medications, protocol and EPCR, including forming a committee that helped provide information for all emergency Services to use in their evaluation of the EPCR process.
PLEASE exercise your opinions and provide input on this procedures which shortly with everyone's help will become a part of our daily Operational plan in this area and will help provide the best possible system that we all can work under. Your thoughts are important, so please share them!
